Search Survey Plans by Input File (Multiple Land ID Search)

Users may request a search for plans based on an Input File stored on their computer's hard drive. Files for upload must be either in a plain text file (.txt) or an XML file (.xml). The input file must be specifically formatted in order for the upload file to work properly. The maximum number of search entries per upload format is 10.

Note: You will be asked to refine the size of the search if the request exceeds the shopping cart limit of 250 plan returns.

Text File Upload Formats

There are four types of acceptable text upload files for search purposes, only one type of search can be returned at a time.

Plan ATS - plan search based on the Alberta Township System (ATS)
Plan Non-Std ATS - plan search based on the Non-Standard ATS
Plan Number - plan search based on the Survey Plan Number
Plan Settlement - plan search based on Settlement Lots

Plain Text File Format

Each upload file type must have the required "header" and maintain the order of the search values as express by the header definitions below. All search values must be present and separated by a semi-colon (;). If a value is not applicable then the ';' must still exist for that value in the file field (e.g., a Plan ATS search to the Township level must be expressed as 4;10;2;;).

Note: The first 7-characters of a Settlement Name are used as the plan number (e.g., the plan number for Edmonton Settlement is EDMONTO). In addition to a lot number, the Carcajou (CARCAJO), Dunvegan (DUNVEGA), Fort Vermilion (FORTVER) and Pelican (PELICAN) Settlements, may have an added search value (i.e., block, group or range) that must be entered in the block field.

XML File Upload Format

There is only one type of acceptable .xml upload file for search purposes.

See (SPIN 2 XML Schema Documentation) for new .xml file upload format.

ShortLegalPlanSearch - plan search based on single or combined PBL, Simple ATS, Non-Standard ATS and Settlement Lot formats - (example). Note: see link at the top of this section for schema documentation.

Note: As stated above, the first 7-characters of a Settlement Name are used as the plan number (e.g., the plan number for Edmonton Settlement is EDMONTO).
